Your AXION gloves are built for high-level performance, but proper care is key to protecting their premium German latex.

Exposure to heat, dirt, and harsh surfaces can dry out or damage the latex, reducing grip and durability.

To keep your gloves performing at their best and extend their lifespan, follow the care instructions below before their first use and after every session.

First Use: Preparing Your Gloves

Looking after your gloves the right way can make all the difference on the field. Follow these steps to keep your gloves in peak condition and ready for every save.

Before wearing your gloves for the first time, it’s important to “wake up” the latex:

  1. Carefully remove the protective film from the palms. Take your time to avoid pulling or tearing the latex.

  2. Rinse the gloves with lukewarm water (not hot).

  3. Submerge them fully and lightly press the palms to flush out any factory residue.

  4. Skip harsh scrubbing or twisting — this can weaken the latex.

  5. If needed, use a mild, fragrance-free soap to help clear leftover chemicals.

  6. Rinse until the water runs clean.

  7. Gently squeeze out water — never wring.

  8. Leave them to air dry naturally, away from heaters, dryers, or direct sun.

💡 Tip: Do this at least a day before your first game or training session to ensure the latex is dry and ready for action.

 

📦 Storing & Protecting Your Gloves

  • Keep gloves in a cool, dry place — not in your gear bag or car trunk.

  • Use a breathable glove wallet or mesh pouch to avoid odors and maintain shape.

  • Separate match gloves from training pairs. Reserve your best grip for game day.

  • Rotate between 2–3 pairs to spread out wear and tear.

⚡ Extra Keeper Hacks

  • Moisten the palms slightly before each session for top grip.

  • Avoid diving unnecessarily on turf, gravel, or hard surfaces that can chew up latex.

  • Consider a specialized glove spray for match prep.

  • Keep fingernails short to prevent damaging the lining.

  • Allow 12–24 hours drying time before wearing again.
